Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition is hosting a bioengineering workshop March 8th and 9th 2012.

The first day is classroom instruction and the second day is hands on, working on a site in Mission. This workshop is for professional biologists or ecologists, land managers, local government staff, as well as any stewardship groups. 

The approximate cost for this 2 day workshop is $100 ($30 for the manual and $70 for course instruction). Dave Polster will be our instructor and is widely acknowledged as an expert in this field. Dave is a plant ecologist with over 30 years of experience in vegetation studies, reclamation and invasive species management. He has developed a wide variety of reclamation techniques for steep/unstable slopes as well as techniques for the re-establishment of riparian and aquatic habitats.
